Privacy notice
This page explains what personal information Business Tools Index processes and why.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to record aggregate page usage, together with a small number of aggregate interaction counts: buyer situations selected, vendor links opened, source links opened, and opens of the methodology page.
These counts are recorded without cookies and without individual visitor profiles. Plausible does not track visitors across websites. We do not use Google Analytics.
Email correspondence
If you choose to contact Business Tools Index by email, your email address, message and any other information you provide will necessarily be processed so we can deal with your enquiry or correction.
Correspondence may be retained where reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, maintain an appropriate record of a correction, or protect the integrity of the research.
Contact information supplied by email is not used for marketing and is not sold to third parties.
Cookies and browser storage
Business Tools Index does not set cookies. A small amount of temporary browser storage is used to remember scroll position while you browse. It is deleted when the tab is closed and is not used to identify or track visitors.
Third-party links
Product records link to vendor websites so you can verify information at source. Those sites have their own privacy practices and are not covered by this notice.
